February Replay!

Happy March everyone! February is the shortest month of the year so I shouldn’t be too surprised that it’s over, but I am! Where has the time gone lol. Let’s recap our goals and stats for February and set some more goals for March!

Let’s Start With February’s Stats:

  • We slowed down a bit and only posted 12 blog posts
  • We had 861 Views
  • We had 516 Visitors
  • We had 246 Likes

Not a bad month at all. We had a solid month and I look to build upon that in March. Now on to our goals for February!

  • Finish Reading Royal Pains and Review It
  • Finish Reading the Darth Vader Comic and Review it
  • Write and Post Black History and Gaming Post
  • Purchase Kingdom Come RPG
  • Post at least 3 times a week to the blog
  • Upload at least 2 YouTube Videos a week

Yikes! I didn’t finish moist of these. February was a crazy busy month for me in my personal life that I didn’t blog as much as I intended haha.

  1. I did Finish Royal Pains and I’m working on the review (should be up next week!)
  2. I have not started Darth Vader but I plan on reading it next week.
  3. I did write the Black History and Gaming post but I posted it March 1st lol
  4. I still haven’t purchased Kingdom Come because I haven’t been home to play any games lately .
  5. I didn’t post at least 3 times a week. I think I maybe posted at least twice a week.
  6. I did not upload 2 YouTube videos each week because I want to work out my editing first. In March I should have better quality videos thanks to suggestions from Aluna and others.

Now for my March Goals:

  • Write the Royal Pains Book Review

  • Buy and Review at least 2 games
  • Complete Parts 2 and 3 of the Evolution of Black Characters
  • Set Up April’s Blogging Competition
  • Record and Edit at least 5 YouTube Videos
  • The Netflix Series of The Week Posts

Those are my March goals, what are yours? Since I took a bit of a break in February I want to come back with full steam in March.  Are you looking forward to any video game releases? Drakulus’s Blog Post Hit or Miss reminded me of a few games that will be releasing this month that I have completely forgot about. You can read his post by clicking here! Have a great March!

August Replay!

Happy Friday all and Happy 1st of September! First of all, shoutout to my friend Selena! She turns 22 today, Happy Birthday! August was a great month for the blog and probably one of the best yet! This pst will be a wrap up and preview for what is to come in September! Let’s start off by reviewing out stats for the month!

August Surpassed all other months raking in our highest total number of views at 1650 AND visitors at 818! We also published 39 posts this month. A few milestones were hit as well with us surpassing 300 followers and receiving our best views ever milestone on August 7th! This is redundant and I say it alot but seriously, thank you to all who follow read and comment on the blog. It’s truly invaluable how connected I feel to you all with my writing! This calls for a PARTYYYYYYY!

Now on to last months goals, let’s see how we did!

  • Finish reading and reviewing The King’s Curse Book
  • Buy and review at least 1 video game!
  • Stay consistent with at least 3 posts per week!
  • Host a “Lan Party” blogging party!
  • Start integrating more social and discussion posts
  • Look for another blogger to start contributing to the blog!
  • Host a contest for a guest blogger!

Sooo while August was a very productive month, I didn’t really complete any of my goals ughhh!

I did complete 4 of the 7 goals so something is better than nothing!

Goals Completed:

  1. We stayed very consistent with at least 3 posts per week! Consistency was something that I was striving for this month so this was a great achievement.
  2. We did host a Lan Party (Blog Party) last weekend! Didn’t get to attend, check out the highlights by clicking here!
  3. I did look for another content blogger but the people who applied fell a bit short from what I am looking for.
  4. We did start integrating more discussion posts like the Writer’s Thought’s post.

Goals Failed:

  1. We didn’t get much reading done this month so The King’s Curse is not completed or reviewed. It’s starting out great though.
  2. We didn’t buy or review a game. I did review the mobile game Sky Islands though! Check out that post by clicking here!
  3. We didn’t host a contest for a Guest Blogger. The month was a bit busy but a contest is coming up really soon!

September Goals:

  • Host a Contest for a Guest Blogger
  • Send out A Newsletter
  • Buy and review at least 1 game
  • Finish and Review The King’s Curse
  • Post at least 3 times a week
  • Start the Creative Writing Mini Series
  • Finish the Previous Creative Writing Series
  • Find a New Show to binge Watch and Review (Goodbye Game of Thrones, miss you already!!!!)

Check out some of last month’s top viewed posts below:

  • Blogger Blitz Round 1: Matchmaker – This post was a fun 500 words or less entry into a cool challenge. My character was the Joker and he shows why he would win the competition (Spoiler Alert, he lost lol but it was tons of fun!)
  • Six Word Story Challenge Poem – This post was a poem derived from my 6 word story entry. The topic was “Fantasy” and my entry was “Her Fire Ignited His Crimson Spell.”
  • Love Flash Fiction Collaboration – It’s a poem-esque fun collaboration post that I did with another blogger. It’s really cute and all about the different types of love portrayed through a single couple.
  • Memoirs of a Villain: The Joker – Did I mention that the Joker lost his Blogger Blitz Challenge? This post is his reflection on the event and his call to arms for other villains! This is probably one of my favorite posts of the month, it didn’t have a high viewer count but I highly recommend it (but read the Blogger Blitz Post First 🙂 ).

What are your goals for the month? Do you have any special projects or posts that you are working on? Is there anything that you would like to see more of on the blog? Let’s talk September Goals!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone and tune in tomorrow for my Q&A Post! Feel free to leave last minute questions in the comments below!
